Over 10,000 men are members of our National organization, 100 Black Men of America, Inc. The Stamford chapter, 100 Black Men of Stamford, Inc. was established in 1993 as a community service organization and continues to serve youth and families in lower Fairfield County.
The members of our chapter take particular pride in providing a variety of services with a focus on mentoring through programmatic activities and events. Each member serves on one or more committees, which meet monthly to update, plan, and volunteer service time for our community initiatives.
There are many committees for member participation including:
- Mentorship
- Education
- Health & Wellness
- Financial Literacy
- College Scholarship Program
- College Fair
- Events
- Membership
In addition to an initial background check, members are required to participate on committees, attend key meetings, participate in the chapter’s signature events, and to submit annual dues. Information on how to become a member can be obtained by contacting our Membership Chairperson, Greg Oliver.
